Meet Virginia’s triple Board -certified Vein and Vascular Specialist

Saquib Samee, MD, FACC, RPVI, ABVLM is a highly qualified triple board-certified interventional cardiologist and serves as President and CEO of Commonwealth Vein Center, which has locations in Colonial Heights, Richmond, and McLean, Virginia.

Dr. Samee is board-certified in cardiology, vascular medicine, and venous diseases. When addressing vascular issues such as varicose veins, he employs the Samee Approach, focusing on delivering optimal results with a gentle and minimally painful approach.

Dr. Samee obtained his Doctor of Medicine degree from Rawalpindi Medical University in Rawalpindi, Pakistan, before relocating to the United States for further medical training. He completed his transitional internship at the State University of New York (SUNY) Downstate Health Sciences University in Brooklyn, New York City, and underwent an internal medicine residency at Deaconess Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.

With a notable career spanning over 20 years, Dr. Samee's journey includes being a recipient of the NIH Grant Research Fellowship in Cardiovascular Diseases at the Mayo Clinic. He proceeded to pursue a fellowship in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine in Farmington, Connecticut, followed by additional specialization through an Interventional Cardiology fellowship at Hartford Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut.
